She was worth waiting for. Dr. McDonald is very caring and very thorough. I trust her completely.

She sent me to the ER telling me I had a perforated colon. I spent 5 hours in the ER needlessly!

while entered the outpatient complex at EJGH this morning with my wife for a routine procedure, we left with a great smile on my face! Dr. McDonald is amazing, she well explained everything before the procedure and afterwards (to wife). She is professional and has great bedside manner. Her staff both in the office especially Aylieese and Jill are also very helpful. At the EJGH Blythe, Tio., James (forgive me if I am mistaking his name) were competent, friendly and professional.

This has to be the best doctor/staff etc that I've been to. I did have to wait a while for an appointment, but, with a good doc that is understandable. I just wish I could go to her for EVERYTHING instead of just gastro. Wishing there were more of her out there!

Dr. McDonald is an amazing doctor! I was finally referred to her after years of stomach pains and just not feeling "right". She takes a very thorough history and listens to your issues. She immediately knew based on my stomach issues that I probably had celiacs disease (which turned out to be correct!) but more than anything, during her examination, she felt my neck and said I feel your thyroid and scheduled an ultrasound for my neck. Turns out, I had thyroid cancer, which was rather aggressive and spreading. She literally saved my life just by taking the time to schedule that ultrasound! I can't thank her enough for being so thorough and actually listening to me and not rushing through the appointments like all the other doctors have done. By doing so, she saved my life. She is the best!

My appointment with the doctor lasted around 10 - 15 minutes. While she was pleasant, my bill was $320.00. Nothing was diagnosed and I don't feel like I got anything out of meeting with her. To charge me $320.00 to discuss my chart and family history is absurd. This is the reason why people don't want to go to the doctor anymore. She suggested that I have some tests run and I called the office twice to see how much the tests were going to cost before I had them done and I never received an answer, so I cancelled that appointment. When I called the office to find out why my initial appointment was $320.00 the receptionist was insanely rude (she told me that I was provocative) and that it was insulting that I was asking about the charge. I asked her explain what I got for $320.00 and she kept yelling at me and saying that they really care about their patients. I could care a lot about my patients too, if I was getting paid $320.00 for 15 minutes of my time. I asked the… receptionist to have the doctor call me and I doubt that will happen.

Dr. Mac. is just about the best in this state. I have been going to her since 1992. She is kind, thorough & the sweetest thing ever. She has taken care of both of my elderly parents also. I highly recommend her, she is very well thought of by all at EJGH.

Colonoscopy was clear but Dr. McDonald found something in my bloodwork that others have obviously missed! A week after starting treatment and I feel better than I have in years. I will recommend her to anyone that I know having tummy issues.
