Dr. Elizabeth Stehle Oneill, MD

Dr Oneil is a great doctor She is very concerned about my Medical care. Even returns phone calls, which My previous doctor did not do even after I had a cat scan that said I might have cancer. so I called dr Oneil and she called me back even though she wasn’t my dr at the time

I absolutely do NOT recommend Dr. O'Neill to anyone. Dr. O'Neill and her staff are the most unprofessional, incompetent, and rude healthcare workers I have ever dealt with before. Every encounter I have had with them, whether in person or on the phone, has been such a miserable experience. They are rude and downright nasty at times, talk down to you, and make it a point to let you know that your visit and requests are a burden to them. On average, I am on hold on the phone for at least 30 minutes and then am greeted with rudeness. Dr. O'Neill has made it clear that my needs are not important and if she does not want to do something, she will not do it, even if it will benefit the patient. I always walk out of the office feeling bad about myself because my physician makes me feel unworthy of her time and help, even though that's literally her job. The final straw was when this office almost cost me a surgery I needed to have done. I saw Dr. O'Neill for a medical clearance physical,… needed prior to surgery. I came in with a form from my surgeon for her to fill out, fax to the surgeon, and give back to me. She refused to fill out the form when I was in the office and told me if I wanted it that I would need to come back the next day to get it. I was assured the form would be faxed to my surgeon. The next day I called the surgeon to see if they had received the fax; they had not. I went back to Dr. O'Neill's office to pick up my paperwork and ask them to fax the form to the surgeon, as they said they would. Not only did not fax the form, but they made up stories about faxing it, which I immediately disputed and then the stories kept changing. Turns out they also lost the form completely (so they "faxed" a form that they didn't even have...?). When the clearance paperwork was finally settled, I asked for a fax confirmation printed out to make sure the paperwork was actually sent this time; they refused. So, I asked to wait in the office for them to fax it because I needed the paperwork sent and did not have confidence in them to actually do it; they refused. They were increasingly nasty to me even though it was all their mistakes, not mine, and I just wanted them to do what they were supposed to do. They ended up literally talking over me so I couldn't speak saying "We'll send it. Goodbye," over and over again until I left the office. They still haven't faxed the paperwork as of right now. The level of unprofessionalism and incompetence is truly unfathomable. They made it clear that they did not care to help me at all and made me feel like a burden because they refused to do their jobs. Overall, this is a terrible, terrible doctor's office. I would not recommend Dr. O'Neill or this office to anyone, even if she were the last primary care physician in Buffalo. Definitely seek out another doctor if you were considering Dr. O'Neill. Unless you are into rudeness, belittling, nastiness and incompetence, of course.

In my opinion Dr O'Neill is a fantastic very thorough and intelligent MD any concerns or problems I presented to her she followed through and referred me to where I needed to go. She also took the time to talk with me about family my children etc. She was very caring

Agreed with worst doctor ever. Laughed at sick mother for health issues, and did not correctly diagnose problem, including prescribing the correct medication. I'm disgusted and disgraced for having met her in the medical field.

There's really nothing to say except she's awful. Terribly rude, abrasive, and unskilled.

Not much to say. This doctor is rude, she speaks down to you, and is rude if you ask the wrong question. Very easily threatened and instead of being helpful, she points the finger at others. She is everything a doctor should not be.

For years I have had clear and obvious signs of a major thyroid disorder and displayed all the symptoms. She would roll her eyes and blew me off when I told her I believed my thyroid was causing weight gain. She only ordered 1 basic blood test and never called me about the results. I recently went to another doctor who said my blood work showed "serious, serious thyroid problems" as well as a low white blood cell count and extremely low blood sugar. Dr. O'Neill failed to notice this and insisted I was lazy and just "needed to work out more". Turns out my levels are so off, working out was actually doing me more harm than good. I wouldn't recommend her to anyone.
