Dr. Elizabeth Otero, MD

Dr. Otero and her staff, especially Colleen and Vicki, are exceptional. I've seen them for a year now, and it's been life-changing. Allergies no longer control my life.

This office is entirely unprofessional. Steer clear.

Staff is very stressed. I was tested a week ago and no one ordered my medication after my testing. No I have been told I have to wait two weeks. Staff is very stressed out... I asked for my medical records to be sent out to a doctor and I called the other doctor today and they said they have not received anything... I asked for my medical records 8 days ago. Be very careful with billing you either get over billed or you get charged twice because the staff does not have time to go to the computer and give you credit... they need more personnel this staff here is stressed. Coming to this office should not be stressful but it is when people talk to you they way they do. Like many other comments the staff is rude. Dr. Otero is the only one here worth seeing... too bad patients have to deal with this rude staff. Let me make it clear that I am talking about the Jupiter staff... I don’t know anything about the Stuart office. I’ll have to chase these people tomorrow and hope that my medical… records have been faxed...

I agree with another comment here... the doctor is fine her staff is not the best. If you go I don’t recommend anyone other than Dr. Otero. The nurse practitioner sends people with swollen sinuses to the emergency room. Had to go to my primary doctor for relief. Only Dr. Otero is the only person there worth seeing.

The Dr. is fine, the office staff are unprofessional.

Dr Etero is Great, but Kristin is a wizz.

Although Dr Otero is very nice, professional and patient, she has drawbacks. She is too conservative in her treatment and I've been forced to switch doctors. After close to 3 years of weekly allergy shots, I've been unable to go less frequently because I'm not getting relief. She is reluctant to be more aggressive with doses, although I've asked repeatedly and have had no reactions. It seems the goal is to keep patients on the shot regimen instead of trying to wean them off. Wait time is horrendous - last 3 office visits required me to wait 1-1.5 hours before she even walked into the exam room.Paperwork gets lost - last 2 times vials needed to be made-up, the office lost the paperwork, causing me to miss shots.Shots are only given 2x per week.

I am calling Dr. Otero again this year because several years ago, she was able to find the source of a head-to-toe rash I experienced. Another allergist was unable to find source. Dr. Otero discovered I am allergic to polyquaternium, a preservative found in almost all liquid soaps. Good sleuthing!

Any doctor that will prescribe steriods and antibiotics to a child and then will not answer a parent's question over the phone regarding a reaction should not practice medicine on children. Office policy is that only the nurse practitioner will return phone calls. The doctor is not available at all.
