Summary
Dr. Peterson really enjoys treating her pediatric patients and watching the kids grow and develop from infants to young adults. She believes it's important to listen to her patients and be supportive to her patients' families. Many of her patients are teenage girls and as they grow older she is able to talk to them more, versus talk about them and help to teach them to take responsibility for their health. Dr. Peterson has been practicing pediatric medicine in El Dorado County since 1993, after completing her residency at Los Angeles Childrens Hospital. She and her husband were both raised in small communities and wanted to offer their three children a similar experience, so they moved to El Dorado County from Southern California.
