Dr. Elizabeth Gaile Roddy, MD

Excellent care.

Rushed visit and poor evaluation led to a dangerous misdiagnosis. I presented with a painful rash (classic shingles) and voiced my suspicion to Dr. Roddy. She dismissed this, after a hasty visual "exam" and stated that it could not be shingles because it crossed the midline of my back (it didn't). Despite my concern, she diagnosed me with poison oak or ivy (no way I was exposed) and prescribed steroids. I advocated for myself and scheduled an appointment with a more experienced, well-rated provider for the next day - who immediately diagnosed me with shingles and prescribed antivirals. Had this been left untreated - and possibly exacerbated by the steroids - I could have had a very adverse outcome. Please don't make the same mistake I did. Research your provider's reviews, make an informed decision when selecting a physician, and ensure that you get the care that you deserve.

It's not just difficult to be seen, but Dr. Roddy won't listen to you, won't give you the referrals you request unless that Dr is in her specific DaVita/JSA medical group and even if you get a referral in her network you better hope you don't need it soon because her referral manager is completely inefficient and pathetic. They don't even follow the rules and regulations of their own group! She violates Medicare and FL medical rules constantly! Honestly I don't know how she is still practicing.

I am not sure how this doctor is still in practice.

Every time I call the office I am put on hold for 15 to 20 minutes. This is ridiculous. It's a good thing I did not have an emergency.

Dr. Roddy is a kind and caring physician. She is very competent and provides good medical care.

MANISTIQUE DOES NOT DESERVE THE LIKES OF YOUR POOR SERVICE...TIME TO MOVE ON...MAYBE YOU should QUIT YOUR DAY JOB!!!
