Dr. Elizabeth Rodrig Stone, MD

Dr. Stone treated my mom for breast cancer. She used to yell at my frail, ill mom and treat her terribly!!! She has zero compassion and should not have a license. As my mom was dying in the hospital she treated me and my sister with such disrespect as we were grieving and crying hysterically, not a single kind word, nothing but an angry evil look on her face!!! Zeroooooooooo heart or soul or empathy!!!!! Run if you hear Dr Stone!!!!!!

My sister has breast cancer and WAS seeing her. For a cancer patient you would THINK this doctor would have some professionalism and decent “bed side” manners. My sister HAD to see her due to insurance. But she had ENOUGH for her RUDENESS and INCOMPETENCE!!! People like her do not deserve to be an Oncologist!!! If you want stress?? This is your Doctor!

Oncology is one of the specialties that requires a high level of empathy and caring. Dr. Stone yelled to my mother in her most stressful moments, and brought her to tears numerous times. That’s not only poor medical practice, poor bedside manner, but also, completely inhuman a d unethical.

I suffer from a rare sarcoma and was referred to her by the Cleveland Clinic. Dr. Stone was annoyed from the beginning of the appointment. She asked me why I was seeing her and what I expected her to do for me. I gave her a piece of my mind and the visit ended. I have been battling my cancer for 15 years and have seen physicians in Florida, New York, California, North Carolina, Boston and other places at major treating centers. I have never encountered a physician as rude, brusque and unqualified to interact with patients.

Dr. Stone was essential in my care after my cancer scare. I had been a patient @ UM Sylvester and the staff and environment there was awful. Wait time: a whopping 3 hours without so much as an apology from his staff. In fact, they never came up to me to tell me that "he was taking very sick ladies" over me for hours. When I tried to reschedule they called back to push the appointment time twice...I giddyuped on over to Cleveland clinic and the experience was completely different. Wait time is about 40 mins, Dr. Stone is very pleasant, and very professional. I am very satisfied with her as my Doctor.

I am one of Dr. Stone's original patients at CCF in Weston. Three other oncologists in the area had basically written me off (I had an extensive recurrence of stage IV breast cancer.) They wanted to treat me conservatively, focus on palliative care, and told me to get my affairs in order. Dr. Stone was the only one who agreed to treat the cancer aggressively. She was very honest with me. She said, "I can't cure you, but I'll keep you alive as long as possible. You need to realize, however, that this isn't going to be an easy course." And it wasn't. The multiple surgeries, butt-kicking chemo cocktails and radiation left me wiped out and feeling like I'd gone 15 rounds with Mike Tyson pummeling me from the inside-out. However, against all odds, my supposedly "incurable" cancer went into remission in 2004 and for the most part, has stayed there to this day in 2011. I still undergo "maintenance" treatment every three weeks, which isn't ideal but so what? I'm alive and it sure… beats the alternative. I would highly recommend Dr. Stone to any cancer patient who hopes to live. She isn't God and she doesn't work miracles, but with her by your side and handling your care, you have a fighting chance.

I cannot be more thankful to Dr.Stone. She is very dedicated to healing her patients. I am still in her care, having successfully gotten through chemo and surgery - on the road to a full recovery.
