Dr. Elizabeth L Yang, MD

Dr. Yang has been my doctor for over ten years, and the quality of her care has continually digressed toward mediocrity. If I am the only patient in her office, she will inevitably 45 minutes late. Yesterday, I read a placard in one of her exam rooms which said that if I paid a monthly fee, she would actually be on time for her appointments--disgusting. Besides her always being late, she has no regard for my concerns on treatment and my symptoms. She has asked about my response to medication that she never prescribed. Her nurse has called and asked me to come in to see the doctor, and when I come (after waiting 45 minutes for an appointment that she made) she asked why I was there.

Dr. Yang is thorough; if she knows of an issue or is stumped about something, she is good about providing referrals. She provides conservative treatment before going to the next step to treat an illness. However, you need to be prepared with your questions when you get with her. I rarely wait more than five minutes wait to see her.

I have been going to Dr. Yang for over 20 years. She has taken care of me through so many medical issues, making sure other doctors (specialists) that did not know me didn't make mistakes with medications or treatments. I appreciate her so much. She listens, is thorough, very knowledgeable, and has a great staff.

I was her patient for 10 years until 2 years ago. Pros: Dr. Yang's diagnosis was pretty much accurate and she gave the right medications. Cons: The last time I went to her was for yearly well woman check-up. I was late for 3 minutes because of the traffic (it usually take 45 minutes to get to her office without traffic, I started driving 1 hour before the appointment time). She was upset and she said this at the beginning of our appointment which she came 5 minutes later. After that, she rushed the exam. After she was done, she told me she noticed a lump deep in my left breast and asked me to go for mammogram. I told her I had it last year and it was negative. She kept insisting so I said I will go for check-up. When I was about to leave, I was told to pay for that day's visit which surprised me because the insurance should cover 100% for well woman check-up. The cashier was uncomfortable too therefore she went inside to confront Dr. Yang. She had to go twice to ask Dr.… Yang. Obedient to Dr. Yang, she regretfully told me that I still had to pay because it was for the "extra" consultation regarding the lump in my left breast. I argued that I didn't bring that up and it should be part of the examination (I had yearly check-up with other doctors and they never charged me extra just because they told me to get a mammogram). I told the cashier to tell Dr. Yang that she can charged me next time to view the result of the mammogram and for any follow-up visits. Then it dawned on me that Dr. Yang must have been truly unhappy I was 3 minutes late and decided to charge me extra for the visit that was supposedly 100% covered by the insurance. I insisted to speak to Dr. Yang directly but Dr. Yang never dared to answer my phone calls nor my request to meet with her in person. Conclusion: She was a good doctor, I wish she would share expenses with other doctors therefore she won't be money-oriented and rush her patients and able to maintain a clean and professional doctor's office (Yes, her office was running down, carpet smelled like urine, only one staff, and one nurse whose white uniform was dirty and worn out). Once upon a time when she still shared office with other doctors, she did not rush patients nor charged ridiculously. It is unfortunate!

I felt so bad on Dr. Yang and her staff. After charging ~ $600 for a physical exam, she couldn't provide the testing results. Her stuff didn't even answer my phone. Never met a doctor like this.

The office staff are very courteous and efficient. Dr. Yang has been my doctor for years and is very knowledgeable. She is conservative in her approach in starting with the safest, easiest handling of a complaint and working up to more complex testing, etc. as needed. She will readily make referrals if she feels the need for further expertise. I have full confidence in her capabilities.

I have been going to Dr. Yang for about ten years and she is a wonderful physician. I trust her with my health care concerns and she takes time to listen and not be in a rush to see the next patient. She also has a professional, courteous staff. I highly recommend Dr. Yang for your medical care!!!!!

I was her patient4 years. I believed in her diagnostic up to this year. She does not listen, and does not like to be interrupted with questions. and when you call back when yr condition has not improved she has her nurse call you back 2 days later!

I was her patient for 3-4 years. She was a good doctor but she needs to learn to listen to her patient.when she enters the room she will be busy talking about her knowledge. You'll find little time to tell her about your sickness.Make sure to make a note of what you want to ask and bring it when you see her. Otherwise, you will end up listening to her only.

I would recommend Dr Yang. She's very professional and is very knowledgeable. She is thorough during the examine and she tries to answer all questions you have. The cons are the office fails to follow up on appts and the wait outside and inside is long.
