Dr. Ella Ruth Derbyshire, MD

Dr. Ella Derbyshire came across as a competent medical doctor when we first met. Upon other appointments, however, she was very pushy about me taking tests and doing procedures. I’ll also add that they weren’t warranted by any physical ailments. But the last straw was when she refused to write me a letter started that our dog is necessary for my mental welfare. She asked for proof which wasn’t even legal. Unfortunately, I found that out after the fact. Clearly, she’s ignorant of the laws regarding therapy animals. I’d advise to avoid her uninformed practices.

I have been seeing an MD at this practice for 20 years. He was unavailable so I had to see this physician. I cried all the way home. This woman made me feel like an irresponsible drug addict. I had finally got up the nerve to speak with my MD about my anxiety disorder and he had prescribed a low dose anxiolitic. She made me take a drug test and kept saying "I don't know where you are getting this drug" and "does your employer know you are taking it". I felt awful when I left and will never return. Oh, she was so busy assuming I was a degenerate that she never checked my sore throat.

My favorite Dr. Very down to Earth and friendly. Really helpful information and advice. We all prefer her over any other Doc around.
