Dr. Ella Mae Gayoso, MD

She was combative, bullying, and visibly irritated when I tried to get her to explain why she wanted to change everything about my birth plan after a 5 min meeting (when the midwife I'd worked with at the same practice was fine). Then, when I asked her if she could call the backup hospital doctor ( so I wouldn't have to work with a male bc I have abuse in my past and bc she wanted me to go right away) she said *she* was the backup but wouldn't be going bc she was getting off work in a couple hours and I'd be "fine".

Has been my OB-GYN for 18 years, LOVE HER!!! She is very caring, compassionate, understanding, and trustworthy. She also actually listens to what you have to say!!!

I never met Dr. Gayoso-Adam until I was in premature labor and in the hospital. She ordered an ultrasound to check my baby's position, and I heard someone say that he was complete breech. I was comfortable with delivering a complete breech baby vaginally, and refused a c-section. She then lied to me, in an attempt to change my mind and convince me to have a c-section, and said that he was footling breech. She then called another doctor to catch the baby, and when he felt the baby, he confirmed the original finding, that he was NOT footling breech. She had no basis for claiming that he was footling breech, and probably assumed that I didn't know any better, so lied to me to get me in the operating room. It didn't work, I knew better, and I delivered my son into the hands of a different doctor, without complication or even a tear.

Dr. Gayoso is extremely respectful of other cultures and afhered to my medical wishes during the 3 surgeries she performed on me. She has a positive outlook that is very reassuring.

Dr. Ella is a saint! Her mother, Dr. Loot delivered my son and she delivered my daughter in the middle of the night, just after midnight about 5 years ago. I insisted she be in a picture with me, my family and my new baby. It brought tears to her eyes. I regard her as a member of my family. In fact, my other 2 sisters see her, as well AND LOVE HER!! She remembers everything about me and my family. My husband loves her and he HATES doctors! He totally trusts her judgement when it comes to my well being. She is worth the wait, I promise!

It's such a shame. I love Dr. Gayoso Adam, however with that being said, her office staff is terrible. They can be rude and among other things they never call in my prescriptions and blame me for their mistakes. Recently I rescheduled an appointment with one of the staff members and clearly told me the date of my appointment, I marked my calender and showed up. When I got there, I was told that my appointment was on that day...next month. They refused to admit they had made a mistake and blamed me for not paying close enough attention and taking down the name of the woman I was speaking to. Dr. Gayoso Adam is a wonderful woman and caring doctor. It's such a shame that's she is surrounded by unprofessional staff.

I have been seeing Dr.Gayoso and her mother before her, for more than 25 years. Dr.Gayoso has treated me for a number of ailments over the years culminating in major surgery 2 years ago. I have never been seen by a Dr. whom I have trusted more or who has been as attentive to my needs. She treats every patient as though they are the only one she has!
