excellent provider! I was in the most horrific pain from my psoriatic arthritis I couldn't even walk, using a walker!! Couldn't get in with a provider for over 4 months and she was able to help me in a more acceptable timely matter. the staff was very helpful and nice. She helped me to get improvement immediately and I am doing great within weeks, seriously!! I feel great! The best in years. I owe it all to her. She took the time with me. I will wait for hours if I have to for her. Yes, she may run behind with her appointment time/schedule but she will take the time with you. It's worth it! Thank you Dr. Field!!!

Horrible doctor. Horrible staff. Horrible experience. Run in the opposite direction. She is the most unprofessional, and unsympathetic dr I have ever come in contact with. The word Narcissistic comes to mind.

I've been going to Dr. Field for a few years now. She diagnosed me when others failed to. Additionally, she took the time required for an initial visit, was very thorough, concerned, compassionate and made me feel better about what I'd been going through as well as my prognosis. I could not have asked for more but she is not consistent with each visit. That being said, the wait time is way too long. I believe the longest I've waited in the waiting room alone was 2-2 1/2 hours. With all of my other physicians, I never wait any longer than 10-15 minutes at the most. There is definitely room for improvement in this area. Dr. Field is a very good physician who lacks professionalism, manner, respect, consideration, compassion and empathy-but not ALL the time. I think it's hit or miss with her. There is no question that Dr. Field has a rough bedside manner and would benefit from changing this. However, there are times when she's in a good mood and can be nice, just not often… enough. Taking all of this into consideration, I do and will continue to deal with it because my MAIN concern is that I have a great physician. nice or not.

I went to Dr. Field several times, she was recommended by my pcp. On my first visit she performed bloodwork, did a thorough exam, and gave me a preliminary diagnosis. On my second visit she changed the diagnosis, and she prescribed a medication for me that is considered to be a "black box" medication. After having bloodwork done by a different doctor because I wasn't feeling well, it was discovered that I was almost in complete kidney failure due to the "black box" med. she had prescribed. This was only 2 months after my last visit with Dr. Field. This doctor almost caused me to go into complete kidney failure because she prescribed a bad drug for me. I have severe psoriatic arthritis, hypertension, a stroke disorder, and Dr. Field prescribed one of the most dangerous medications especially for me. My other physicians all told me that I was lucky to have survived, and obviously to stay away from this 'so called Doctor'. She is the worst, completely disinterested in her patients.

I saw Dr. field for low bone density. I was in the process of deteriorating from a neurological disease that had yet to be diagnosed. I cried to her and told her my desperation and even though I am sure she knew there was something very bad wrong with me, she offered me no assistance. On follow-up appointments, she avoided me and sent her pa in to see me who is a lovely kind person. I have no respect for this woman. I would have given her a zero if that was an option. And that is in the human being department.

She's always an hr and a half late. She gave me ANTISEIZURE pills for my fibromyalgia which made me so sick I threw them out after one use. Then she wanted me to take physical therapy but she never submitted the forms I needed to get it covered. After a month of waiting, calling and reminding I canceled all followups. All that money wasted and I never got treated. Useless office. Useless doctor.

Q: What do you call a doctor who graduated last in their class? A: Doctor! This would be funny if it weren't true! * I just wanted to put a warning out there to anyone seeking a Rheumatologist. DO NOT GO TO DR. ELLEN FIELD!!!! She has absolutely NO compassion, or empathy for her patients that do not respond perfectly to what she prescribes! She is rude, condescending, dismissive, and gets defensive when presented with a challenge. She does not care about her patients in the least and will blow off anyone who has questions or needs any alternative treatment than her original suggestion. Her PA, Kelly Sweeny, is just as bad! This practice is the WORST! Please save yourself the frustration and aggrevation of dealing with this practice! :( VERY DISPLEASED!!!!!!!!

Based upon the reviews posted here I telephone the office to ask about the long wait time, The person answering the seemed somewhat annoyed. She said, "I cannot not give any approximate wait time," so I cancelled my appointment. In my searched for another doctor, I found someone who stated they never expect a patient to wait more than ten minutes. Personally, I would never wait one, or two hours in an office for any doctor, no matter who they are. Having never seen this dr. I am leaving 3 stars to give her the benefit of the doubt.
