Dr. Ellen M Michaelson, MD

She’s been my doctor for at least a decade now, and she’s been nothing but wonderful to me. She really listens to me as a patient (compared to a lot of other male doctors who doesn’t and I know you’ve met at least one before) and give care accordingly. She had never once brushed off any of my concerns, but then again I also make sure to advocate for myself, as a patient. I do not have any complaints about her or her work and I definitely feel safe knowing that my health is being monitored by both of us.

Worst doctor I have ever gone to. Hates anyone who is overweight and did not even tell me she moved. From my own experience she is doing a poor job keeping patients, as I will never be going there again.

I've been seeing Dr. Michaelson for almost 5 years. When I moved to town she had availability and flexibility and I've been pleased with the care I have received each time. I go to see her every 3 months for prescription refills and she is friendly and thorough. I like that I can schedule and pay online and she remembers personal details about me when I see her. I recommend Dr. Michaelson!

I was shocked to see that this Doctor is still practicing medicine. She is obsessed by anyone 20 lbs. overweight and makes repeatedly disparaging remarks about people being too fat, (scholar that she is), and how they disgust her. She prescribed an antiquated type of blood pressure med for me I discovered from my pharma is rarely prescribed due to its extensive side effects, and during my visits she just wanted to grill me about why I didn't want the medication as prescribed. WHY? I was allergic to 3 of them (polysorbate/tweed allergies), and one had dangerous side effects. I stopped seeing her and found another more sane, trustworthy doctor. This woman has a great bio, but beware....she is incompetent.

Incredibly rude staff. Send rude, short text messages threatening to cancel your appointment in the middle of the work day if you can't scan and send a copy of your insurance card. I was new to my company, so I didn't have on yet. Highly recommend finding another, more polite, and human-focused practitioner and staff.

I went to see Dr. Michealson based on what her website says her practice is about: "HealthMax is a primary care practice committed to care that allows each person to speak. Our commitment is to integrative healthcare through a relationship-centered approach. The patient’s story, medical evidence and patients who understand their health are the core of our practice." Unfortunately I found my first experience to be the complete opposite and was sorely disappointed and felt mis-led. I'm an active female in my early 50s and proactively take care of my health. I was truly taken aback by the lack of concern, care and interest in me as a patient overall. The second she walked in and didn't even introduce her self and proceeded to sit down behind her mini "desk" and laptop in such a cold robotic-type manner, was my first clue. I should have walked out then. While she warmed up a bit towards the end, her bedside manner overall and exam was terrible. Since my first appointment, I've… also received almost daily emails and frequent phone calls to say it was time to schedule my next appointment. Very annoying! And when I need her to fill a prescription, that was not done correctly either. An absolute failure at "understanding" my health and establishing a "relationship-centered approach."

If you wish to be treated with any kindness or decency , please go somewhere else. No bed side manner at all , rude, condescending , confrontational and dismissive . Presenting any issue's is a major inconvenience to her. Her web site on how she runs her practice is the total opposite of what the reality is. You will get no help from her, she simply just doesn't care enough.

A wonderfully informed and intelligent doctor. Outside the box thinking, easy to relate to her.

Worst doctor ever. This lady should not be involved in the care of others. I'm glad I realized this early on after meeting her and her messing up my medication and medical treatments. One word for her.. karma.

Less thorough than other doctor's I've been to, and somewhat confrontational.
