Dr. Ellen Beth Schaeffer, MD

We went to a previous Dr. in Utica and it was the worst experience. Going to Dr. Schaeffer was a true eye opening experience. She was very profession and so was all the staff. We found out more in one visit with Dr. Schaeffer than we did in 2 visits in Utica. It was totally worth the hour drive to see her. I would recommend her to anyone having allergies and just can't find what is the cause. She is thorough and really wants to help you.

Finally a doctor who doesn't just recommend another useless surgery! After only two injections my pain is significantly better.

She wants to prescribe the latest medications regardless of cost to patients. She feels 2 daily tablets, 2 daily inhalers, 4 prn medications prescribed by her in addition to the adhd medication prescribed by pediatrician were not too many meds for a six year old. The pediatrician agreed with the parent and sent patient to a peds pulmonologist with med reductions with therapeutic success.

Dr. Schaeffer is the best doctor I have seen in the Syracuse area, across all specialties. She is knowledgeable, competent, a good listener, and a kind person. She makes reasonable and effective treatment decisions. What a combo! If all doctors were like her, the state of medical in our country care would be superb.
