Dr. Ellen Finder Sherman, MD

I have been seeing Dr. Sherman for over 3 years. She is compassionate, kind, knowledgeable, and has a good sense of humor. She is the type of person that you would want as a friend.

She saved my life, my sanity, and my marriage. I hit the jackpot finding her to help me with starting on medication and she is so relatable with therapy sessions. I never wait long and she takes her time at each session with me. She’s professional, but genuinely cares about your well-being.

1989 was a difficult year. With Dr. Shermans help I am here in 2018 to say thank you. I am doing well. Glad to she you are still practicing. Dean Myers

My sister was a patient of Dr. Sherman for a long time and she really liked her but in the last couple of meetings Dr. S. made insinuating remarks about how she felt that were not accurate and she was making faces at her. My sister knew that she was not imaging anything. My sister was really sad. Dr. S told her that if she left she would just replace her with another patient. My sister left this doctor and found someone else. Dr. S also gave her really bad advice which she did not take thank goodness.

I have been seeing Dr. Sherman for approx. 8-9 months. She is honestly probably the best Psychiatrist I have seen. Most psychiatrists spend about 15 minutes with you after your first consult. I shortest amount of time I have ever been in her office is 45 minutes (and that is with HER the entire time). It appears that she books each patient for an hour slot. I have never waited more than 10 mins for my appt time. I suffer from chronic depression and have been on meds for about 15 years. She is one of two doctors I have ever seen that has really worked with me to try different combinations of meds to see what can work. I am finally getting some relief! I cannot recommend her enough. (there isn't really any office staff so that is why I didn't rate that)

Dr. Sherman is a very good doctor I recommend her highly.

Dr. Sherman is fine with medication monitoring but kind of out of touch when it comes to therapy.

pill pusher. didnt diagnose issue(bipolar) after many visits. had breakdown and ended up in hospital. highly do not recommend.
