As soon as I met Dr. Stevenson I just knew something about her was different and that I was going to truly heal and not just get another rote band- aid. Psychiatry is as much an art as a science. The patient-physician relationship and interaction matters more than with other specialties. Dr. Stevenson treats her patients with respect and compassion. Unlike many psychiatrists who are distant and impersonal, with a one-size-fits all, medication-centered approach, Dr. Stevenson takes the time to listen to our concerns and opinions. It is telling that her staff has been with her for as long as I've been seeing her - which is 15 years for a lifelong mood disorder. She is not at all money hungry and sees me once a month. Her fee is fair and she is worth every cent.

Dr Stevenson is one of the most down to earth doctors i have ever met. She is smart but not distant, always returns calls. She has a great sense of humor and even on the days I felt most hopeless and depressed was able to make me feel hopeful. I was about to lose my wife and my family and she was able to not only help my illness but was able to get my marriage back on track. She has given me my life back.
