Complete misdiagnosis and wrong treatment - stay away if you want to save your life

Unfortunately, I have met and dealt with many doctors in my life. Mrs. Berman is the cruelest person I have ever met. She prefers to be right and feel smart before being an empathetic person.

Had a telehealth visit with Dr Berman. In a less than ten minute appointment she assessed that my pain from my CML treatment side effects did not warrant the pain management plan that my primary oncologist had administered over the last ten years. Makes me wonder if the reputation of the pharmaceutical company is more important to her than the health of her patient.

I was recommended to Dr Berman by a friend who works at MSKCC. From my first appointment, she explained fully my illness in a gentle yet comprehensive manner while remaining supportive and a genuine human being . She is helpful when I need medical advice about even unrelated medical situations and thoughtful about her responses. Dr. Berman presents as a caring and truly kind and respectful practitioner with a lovely sense of humor. I don't ever find the wait oppressive. I've never been kept waiting for a long period of time but she certainly gives each patient the amount of time they need without rushing anyone out. She is a remarkable physician and I consider rmyself so fortunate to have her as my practitioner and know her.

I was treated by Dr Berman for a rare Leukemia and have been in remission since 1986. Since then our 3 daughters were married and have presented us with 8 wonderful grandchildren. I highly recommend Dr. Berman. If from time to time you must wait a little longer for your appointment please do not complain, instead be grateful that such a fine and intelligent person has dedicated her life to medicine and patient care.

great doctor

was diagnosed in 2006. saw a doctor locally who admitted it would be better to visit sloan kettering for a professional opinion. Doing so i found Dr. Berman who readjusted the treatment. I am not in remission (knock on wood) 3 years later and very pleased having gone to this doctor.sometimes the wait for her is a bit long but its NYC and 10-30 mins is not something people cant handle especially when it comes to seeing one of the best doctors out there for it.she knows me as though i am her only patient, shes very respectful and professional and has helped me out with more than my cancer. any other issue i ever had i went to her for she gave her medical opinion on and if unsure she called for an immediate second opinion.i VERY much recommend her. shes why im here 3 years later writing this.
