Dr. Michel and his staff are kind, compassionate, and very caring. I am so happy that I switched offices, because Dr. Michel actually took the time to run tests and answer any questions that I have. My first visit was long and that made me feel so much more confident in being a new patient. He went over every detail I listed on the intake form, and asked tons of questions. I wish all Doctors were that thorough! I live in North Hills, but have no problem driving to Tarentum because of the excellent care I receive. Every single staff member has been friendly and empathetic and it's a very pleasant environment. Anytime I have questions or concerns, I can call and they are happy to help. They also have the most recent up to date treatments, which has helped me since I am very sensitive to medications. I just completed my first year of Botox, and also started Emgality today. Unlike other Specialists I've been to, Dr. Michel doesn't force medication, but gives you options, and is… very open minded. I feel very respected as a patient because we actually talk about various treatments. I highly recommend Dr. Michel to anyone looking for an amazing Neurologist who truly cares. I may not ever be the same person I was before brain injuries which caused my chronic migraines, but thanks to Dr. Michel, I have been given more migraine and pain free days. I am so glad that I found him!

I have been seeing Dr. Michel for many years, first for my husband then for myself since 2001 or 2002. I have never experienced any inappropriate behavior on his part, and feel that I have always had excellent treatment from him. I feel he is excellent in knowledge of the drugs he prescribes, and people must keep in mind when they see a neurologist that it is vital to provide good feed back to them regarding what is going on with yourself, since that is the criteria they must have to be able to treat you. It is not like they can look at tests to give them the answers they need, since our brains are different than other parts of our body. Parkinson's is very hard to treat just like MS. I was told by a person connected with a group that spoke at our Parkinson Support meeting that those with PD do better if they see a Movement Specialist, when I went to see the Movement Specialist, he told me, he did not know why I was there because my neurologist was taking excellent care of… me. We must tell the Dr. what is going on with our day to day life, or they are unable to give us the correct care that we need. Please take into account when you see Dr. Michel that due to his vision he must be in close range of you in order to assess you, not because he wants to be. we all have our disabilities, and his vision happens to be his, but it does not prevent him from being a genius in his field.

In my more than 50 years of doctor visits, I've never had any doctor put their stethoscope directly on my nipple until know. He also pulls his chair up to you so your knee is actually touching his crotch! After a few visits, I went further in other's reviews and found one other woman complaining about inappropriate touching, too! I'm astonished and disgusted by this man's behavior.

My father went to see Dr. Michel on advice of his PCP for vertigo. Dr. Michel prescribed my dad Midodrine, a drug to raise his blood pressure, when my father is ordered 3 anti-hypertensives and several heart meds for his CAD. Luckily, but after filling this Rx for a large copay, my mom read the contraindications and warnings for Midodrine and saw that it could cause a life-threatening rise in blood pressure. This MD also ordered my dad tests to assess for neuropathy, when my dad told him he already has documented neuropathy. I work in health care myself, and I am just appalled at the 'care' this doctor gave to my dad.

Dr. Michel is extremely kind and caring. The staff was very sweet.

Dr. Michel is very through, polite, and he explains his diagnoses. His staff is very friendly and accommodating. I would recommend him to a friend.

It was very easy to get in to see the doctor. I think we waited less than one week for an appointment. The staff were kind and courteous. Dr. Michel is a good listener, he really paid attention to my daughter's symptoms, asked good follow-up questions, and spent time with us. We did not feel rushed or made to think that our questions and input were not important. We are very satisfied.
