Dr. Ellouise M Cotton, MD

I would like to brag about a wonderful doctor that got my husband on the right track with his diabetes. He was seeing a great endocrinologist but had to change because of his insurance and Dr. Cotton was recommended. The moment we walked in she greeted us very professionally and allowed my husband to share why he was visiting her that day. Once he finished, she recalled all he said and gave him all of the recommendations that were needed to get him on the right tract. His A1c went from a 9 to a 7 and he is doing great. The staff is great and all prescription and results are handled in a timely manner. Thank you Dr. Cotton for being a great doctor. R.Hall

Dr. Cotton has been my all time favorite doctor. The first day I meet her, I knew she was the right fit for me. She took her time with me, allowed me to share concerns and made me feel like I was all that mattered at the time. Upon my 2nd visit, my experience was even better. No matter when I have an appointment, it is always Dr. Cotton by my side. She does not send a nurse to see me, she takes care of me herself. She wholeheartedly is a very knowledgeable, loving, God-fearing doctor.

My family love Dr. Cotton she appear to really care about her patient and their over all well being. She is very direct and we like that. We don’t have to wait long for our visits. Once we got pass her direct approach we learn to appreciate her medical skills. She take good care of our love one.

She has a horrible attitude and bedside manner. Her office is unprofessional and will not return calls about refills, even from a pharmacist. She is not very personable and when you complain she terminates you as a patient. Please see other reviews for this physician who have similar experiences. There are a lot of elderly patients at Princeton. Be careful of allowing them to go see her alone. She has a tendency to run multiple tests to charge their insurance and makes them come back often to get refills for simple things like high blood pressure and cholesterol - even when their condition remains unchanged on medication. Follow ups are normal, but every three months to get a refill when your meds are working is not normal. I am leaving this review on behalf of my elderly mother who was treated very poorly by this physician after desperately trying to get a change in medication after her insurance no longer would pay for the name brand version of the drug. All she needed was a… prescription for the generic brand. Her office made my 81yo contact the insurance company herself (by the way, all doctors have access to that information there was no need to contact the insurance company) and when my mother left it with FOUR different people, including her nurse, she was told she wasn't the only patient Dr. Cotton has and she needed to be patient. My mother was told this after four calls to Dr. Cotton's office to provide information on a life saving drug and two and half weeks on awaiting a return call from her doctor's office. Unbelievable. I was warned by a friend who works at Princeton that we would have issues, but her office is close to my mother's home and we tolerated the bad attitude and all of the unnecessary follows up and tests to avoid her having to drive to Brookwood or St. Vincent's for medical care. Lesson learned.

This lady has a mental problem. She with held needed medication and she never thought I would have sense enough to report her. She sends you to doctors when there is nothing wrong with you but, she does it to get new patients for that particular doctor. I will NEVER to to her nor recommend her to anyone. She is a liar!!!

Horrible bedside manner.

Dr. Cotton is very thorough in examining her patients. She also is concerned with getting her clients treated quickly and accurately so that their time isn't wasted.
