Dr. Elyse Caroline Dubin, MD

Saw here for 2 years. Nice person, but could not remember the name of the medication she prescribed. I had to correct her at every session! Used her as a stop-gap between doctors. All I can say is be cautious.

i have been seeing dr dubin 2x/week for over 10 years. she really is an excellent doctor who i have gained a lot of insight from as well as a great drug treatment. My therapy has been long yes. But the change that has come about in my life has been huge, like transformative. and i really didn’t think that was possible for me. she is quite expensive. she will only refer to you as Ms or Mr. and she will tell you virtually nothing about herself. It’s her style. If you’re ready to do some real work then Dr Dubin can help.

I was looking for a doctor who could be both my psychotherapist and give me the medications I need. In the past I saw two people, and it didn't work well because I have trouble tolerating drugs and I needed someone who really knew me, could figure out what was due to my psychiatric condition, and what was just life and needed to be talked about. It's hard to find a doctor who is good at both, but I really lucked out with Dr. Dubin. She is so smart, concerned, and she really was able to stabilize my symptoms as well as help me deal with the trauma I've been through. She's expensive, but she is totally worth it.

I send her patients when their primary psychiatrist hasn't been able to help enough. She is remarkably astute with making the right diagnosis and handling medications...and she is also an analyst and skilled psychotherapist. In addition to handling complex clinical problems, she tries to work with some of the most difficult people to treat

This doctor is really smart and she really cares. I went to see her because no one else was able to help me. I've seen at least five psychiatrists, and even more therapists in my life, and until I got to her no one recognized my ADD, and no one was able to get me on a regimen of drugs to stabilize my bipolar disorder. I feel like I have my life back. I got sent to her by my therapist, so now that I'm better I don't have to see her a lot, whenever I've needed help she's been there for me.
