Dr. Elyse Traugot Esrig, MD

I was a patient of Dr. Esrig’s for more than ten years. She always provided excellent care, finding the right combination of medications to manage my asthma and seeing me for annual physicals and many other medical issues over the years. She is wonderfully direct, sharing and explaining test results and observations and giving me the information I needed to be healthier and smarter about my own choices. She provides the comfort you need when things are going well, but also recognizes signs that may lead to trouble. Comparing year-to-year blood test results, she identified an abnormality that turned out to be due to an aggressive tumor that, thanks to the early detection, was removed before it spread beyond the primary site. You will not find a better primary care physician.

Within 3 minutes of meeting me, Dr. Esrig had made her judgements about me. The best I can say about her is that she's a bi@@@tch. I won't be back.

She doesn't allow you to get annual bloodwork done. The physical seems like a waste. I'm definitely going to a different doctor from now on. Poor bedside manner.

Dr. Esrig does not have the experience to be an effective internal medicine for her patients. She is very limited in her knowledge of how to treat very common complaints and is quite judgmental. I found her annual exam to be totally insufficient and a waste of time and money. She does not consider each patient individually, but relies upon the limited knowledge she learned in her training.

If you want a doctor who chats with you about your children, the weather, and holds your hand as you get a shot, look elsewhere. If you want a straightforward, knowledgeable, professional doctor who lays all the cards on the table and provides excellent care, look no further. I had a great experience with Dr. Esrig over a year-long period. I highly recommend her.

Dr. Esrig is an excellent doctor. She is very attentive and has excellent personal patient follow-up skills. She is persistant in finding root-causes for symptoms and very accurate in her diagnoses. Her specialty referrals are also excellent.
