Dr. Elyse Rosales Baker

Elyse Rosales-Baker is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of New Jersey and a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LPC) in the state of New York. Elyse is passionate about working with individuals, families, children, couples, and individuals from the LGBTQ + community. She specializes in treating the effects ofsubstance use disorders, anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, mood disorders, and psychotic disorders. Elyse studied Forensic Psychology and completed her Bachelor’s degree at John Jay College of Criminal Justice. She went on to complete her Master’s degree at St. Johns University. Elyse strives to create a safe and non-judgmental environment to explore sensitive topics. Elyse is an avid traveler which has helped her gain cultural competence that she has incorporated into her therapeutic approach. Elyse's therapeutic style consists of strength-based, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness practices, motivational interviewing, dialectical behavior …therapy (DBT), and positive psychology.
