The wait is always 30 plus minutes. They do not call with lab results even if there is something abnormal

staff are rude and will not give authorization to insurance. SO I have no heart meds because the lazy staff will not give authorization over the phone to my insurance. I see a malpractice lawsuit somewhere

There is sometimes a wait but the entire office staff is helpful and kind.

I have been a patient for many years, I have had ongoing struggles with diagnosis.....i have no insurance and it is getting costly to be unable to narrow the diagnosis down to something we can actually treat. The wait is aweful and long in the office every time. The staff is stern and very unfriendly even though I know them personally and they are nicer to me, the general patient population are treated short and unimportant, pushed to the side and left feeling helpless. The refill process even if you maintain your regular visits/follow ups is aweful and Ihave been unable to depend on refills as needed, the call backs are not able to be relied on by office staff. I have had to call other physicians to refill a medication numerous times that you cannot just stop taking without terrible side effects due to the inability/non-compliance of the office staff at Dr. Descants practice. I have stayed only because the transfer process is long and tedious and starting over is like divorcing and… being re-married in the same week. I am going to have to though if things do not change immediately. There are other family members of mine and people I know who feel the same. My mother for instance is disgusted with the way they handle her issues as well. She has been a faithful patient for over 20yrs. This is sad and true, good doctor, bad habits/office staff, the combo can ruin your reputation...my uncle is an obgyn and he works extra hard to keep this common problem from taking over his practice and his partners too.
