Dr. Emery Walter Dilling, MD

I was 42 years old in May of 1984 and found myself in the hospital needing heart surgery. Dr Dilling ( he had hair then) performed my quadruple bypass and corrected my problem. I recently turned 78 years old and am still enjoying good health. I want to thank him for his outstanding surgical skills and the quality care I received from him in ‘84. If I ever have a problem requiring heart surgery again, I will once again contact Dr Dilling!

I was very pleased when my general practitioner referred me to Dr. Emery Dilling. I remembered Dr. Dilling replacing the Aortic Valve for my husband several years ago. Pretty amazing surgery by a very savvy surgeon! I knew that I was in good hands. Dr. Dilling was very professional and knowledgeable and at the same time kind and compassionate! He took the time to tell me exactly what to expect. He didn't mince words or promise more than he thought was possible to achieve. I trusted him completely and would highly recommend his services to anyone. His staff was friendly and extremely capable of any and all procedures performed. I couldn't have asked for a better experience!

I found him insulting and pompous. He did not adequately answer the questions I had gone in for but instead turned the discussion to what apparently is his favorite topic, body weight. I am 62 and am in good health. I would love to lose 10 pounds like everyone else but I am not obese. He said I should not exercise because "exercise is overrated", but instead I should only eat once a day. He suggested I lose 45 pounds which is about one-third of my body weight. Keep in mind he is a vascular surgeon, not a weight loss doctor and I went in for vascular surgery advice. What a waste of money and time. Find someone else.
