Dr. Emilie Cheung, MD

9 years later, very happy with the outcome of my shoulder replacement. Dr. Cheung replaced my right shoulder on Oct. 1st, 2013. Today, I have excellent range of motion, virtually no pain, and have resumed most activities that were being limited by my bad shoulder. I no longer rock climb, but a small price to pay to regain use of my shoulder. Dr. Cheung is an excellent surgeon, and extremely well versed in the science of shoulder replacement. I trust her implicitly, and enjoy our visits.

Shoulder surgery failed, did a bicep tenodesis did not work at all. Not recommended now I have to get another one

I chose Dr. Cheung because I wanted the best and did not want to have to worry or wonder about my surgeons expertise level. I just wanted to turn over my full thickness supraspinatus tear to her and let her do her thing. Before surgery she told me she would "Leave no stone unturned." Five months post surgery I have no pain and my shoulder feels amazing...moves smooth as butter. She not only fixed my tear but addressed things she found during surgery such as a frayed long head of the biceps tendon, bone spurs, and labrum tears. I could not be happier and am very grateful to Dr. Cheung for her outstanding care!!!!! I am back playing pickle ball full on at 5.75 months!

Injured my shoulder in a cycling accident. Dr. Cheung repaired my torn rotator cuff and I've never felt better. She was kind and caring and patient, as she took the time to answer all of my questions, even the dumb ones.

Basically had the intern do the diagnosis. Didn't ask questions, and didn't think through the issues and facts. Just presumed a diagnosis without adequate examination. Also she has a strange human interface -- it's like she is a android from another planet. The intern was totally lame. Didn't even know the basic facts from the sheets I spend 20 minutes filling out.
