Dr. Emilio Edgardo Castaneda, MD

It took 2 months to see an endocrinologist because of our current healthcare in America. I picked someone from my plan named Dr. Emilio Castaneda. My appointment is for 930am and I get to the office at 9am. At 915 am; I get to fill out the paperwork and not call in till 945am. I am waiting in the room and Tech takes my Blood Pressure. Then about 15 minutes Dr walks in: No Greeting by Dr and who he is Does not ask about my history I say who am am and offer my history He seems disinterested and couldn't care less about me He is saying that I should take metformin 1000mg per day. I told him that it hurt my stomach and he said the ER does not.. And gives me why metformin is a benefit in 5 reasons. Typical reply by a Dr. I am on insulin and he does not give me a plan on how to reduce my insulin; no schedule. He couldn't care less Whisk me out the door in 2-3 minutes Brought to the desk and I have to pay my co-payment and then hands me my paper and does not tell me I need blood work… and my appointment is in a month. This Dr is incompetent and the worst Dr I have ever seen in my life. I am a first time patient and he treated me less than human. You need to ask me about my history. He was so disinterested in my visit and did not advise me if there were any other options. I will be disputing the charges and blogging him and reporting him to the Florida Board of medicine.

The main location is Hallandale. We have been under new management since 2021. We love working here and enjoy taking care of our patients.

The attention with Dr Castañeda on my visit was very good but when now I{m trying to set up an appointment for my wife the attendant demand that we send a medical referral from the Family Doctor. Nobody, neither the Doctor nor the Insurance requires Referrals any more. All that requirements slow down the appointment and attention and create unnecessary delays. on the pacient.Perhaps I need to look for another Endocrinologist to get a better attention. Alberto R. The awful Doctor ever! Please take his license... No English speaker, not allow us to talk, even hear what I have asked. Only looking for money... It doesn't care about the patients ... Ridiculous Doctor , don't waste your time and your money!

Took time to research my many multiple conditions and recommend the proper medications.

I have been going to this Dr for about 1 year, he changed my diabetes medication 3 times and it has not work, called last week for a new medication (last one I used for a month after last visit), told receptionist for him to send approval of another medication to my pharmacy, and he refused, asking me to make another appointment and pay again for my visit, I think all they want is your money not take care of your health, for that reason Im not going there any more.

Refuses to provide blood work results over the phone; requires return visits which is quite inconvenient and costly. For that alone, I do not recommend this doctor unless of course, money and time are no object for you.

Staff is rude, place is filthy, Doc is lax.

Office staff are rude. Doctor misdiagnosed me twice and overbilled my insurance company. He did not listen to my medical history and ignored several issues I was concerned about. I have lived throughout the US and the Docs I have seen in Florida have all been less than what I was used to.
