Dr. Emilio Nardone, MD

My husband just recently received back surgery. We came away with a totally positive experience. Dr.Nardone is a is a brilliant and skilled man. He has given life back to my husband at age 79. You see by the time we sought out Dr.Nardone, my husband was looking to be wheel chair bound. His feet were numb and he could no longer walk any distance at all..after reading MRI ...Dr. said” I know what is wrong and I can fix it”. Thankfully he did just that. Never took time to figure out where my back pain was actually coming from just Assumed it was a bulging disc NOW I have failed back surgery,herniated disc, severe spinal stenosis and am unable to walk without pain and after surgery missed a tiny piece of bone and didn't take time to figureout had a resident figure out why I was in extreme pain - had to have another four hour surgery to fix - hospital stay six days - ALSO - Called Me NUTS when I still had pain and had a very bad reaction to the medicine (Gabapentin) that he gave me and told me I should go to a psychiatrist

Professional staff and always put the patient first. Dr. Nardone took time to explain the pros and cons of the procedure (micro discectomy) and the pros won. I wish I would have done this a year ago, I can enjoy my life again and not worry about pain. I highly recommend Dr. Nardone to anyone with chronic back pain

My personal experience of having Dr. Nardone complete my brain surgery was amazing, very thorough and have known other people that recommended him to me, and I have to say I trust him 100%

Dr. Nardone is an excellent and highly qualified neurosurgeon in the Central Illinois area. He performed a complex surgery on me for an extremely rare condition and did an outstanding job. If he had not been here, we would have had to travel to Mayo or Johns Hopkins to have the surgery performed. He is so friendly and caring and very interested in learning and teaching others. His nurse Jesse is great too and was a big help in answering a lot of questions. They are always accessible and supportive. We are very lucky to have Dr. Nardone here!

Well sounds like I'm not alone here. L4-L5-S1 lumbar fusion with hardware in 2010 my pain was horrible. So I decided to have this surgery done and big mistake. Didn't help my back hurts more know and have numbness in both legs and feet. What has me fuming mad is when I went back to him to have him come up with a game plan. He was rude and says its all in my head?? He didn't even stay in the room for longer than 2 min SMH!!! So he says I wont charge you for visit ? REALLY. So its know 2015 and still cant work. Ego is way to big end of rant

Messed up my back can't stand more than 15 min.

Went in for a follow up care plan and said he had seen me a month and a half ago. I told him he must have me mixed up with someone. I have not seen him for two or three years. Sent me home without even looking at me. Said I will not charge you or dictate session. Made me feel stupid. He says one thing and dictates another on paper. Very disappointed..
