Why I chose to pursue a career in healthcare:My parents have worked in healthcare for my entire life, and their dedication to their community and to helping others through healthcare inspired me to pursue a career in medicine. After working as Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department, I was inspired to become a Nurse Practitioner in Primary Care in hopes of helping patients obtain preventive medicine. What I want my patients to know about me:I hope that my patients know that I truly enjoy learning and teaching. I believe that no question is too insignificant. I love my job because I have the opportunity to learn something new every day.What I do when I'm not seeing patients:When I am not seeing patients, I enjoy spending time with my husband, our two wonderful sons, two rescue dogs, and our family and friends. I also enjoy cooking, crocheting, reading, and spending time at the beach.
