Dr. Emily Carver, MD

I really like Dr Carver. 100% would recommend.

She seemed a bit rushed and after the call ended, I realized there were several questions I wanted answers for, so I sent a medical message.

It was a pleasure to meet Dr. Carver and to discuss my GO issues (daily diarrhea despite meds). She suggested an alternate (cholestyramine powder) that has proven beneficial and is considerably cheaper than mesalamine.

I really liked the doctor because she was not entering data into a computer while I was talking & did not make me feel rushed.

She took the time to write notes and comments on my care that I took home with me.

Dr Carver is always wonderful and truly cares about your health! She helps with any questions I have and gives me options when asked. She is truly a great doctor and my whole family goes to her.

Had dr Emily Carver in October 2022. Ran tests. I called in to find out about follow up. Dr Carver left voice message. Harsh; no follow up needed. Her demeanor was harsh. I then went to another provider. They did scope, and diagnosed stomach was full of bile; and started meds. 3 months later returned to MNGI. Wanted to do follow ups with MNGI since I’ve had for years. I scheduled with dr carver to review, and move on. She entered questioning why I came back. I explained what had transpired and to give feedback. She apologized for not diagnosing problem, but then blasted me for going to another provider. She then continued to press that she was not a good fit for me; and seemed to be more focused on pressing to set me up with someone else. She reviewed whom she would set up with and went on for 5 minutes as I sat quietly - shocked. She is not a good communicator. She told me she was frustrated/irritated. She asked me why I came back to see her. I told her that I wanted to… stay with MNGI for my care, and I with her so thought we could work together. I expressed that she was harsh and hoped it would be different this time around. She kept pressing me to agree that we were not good, then tried setting me up with someone else. I had her write down some names and said I’d think it over. She stated no charge for this visit and I left the room in silence. I couldn’t believe that a doctor could be so insensitive, and demeaning. I felt like I was in the room with a bully. She shouldn’t be allowed to work with anyone with disabilities.
