Dr. Emily Forrest, MD

We've been going to Dr. Forrest since our son was in 2nd grade and was the one who formally tested him for Aspergers (which is now on the Autism spectrum). With this diagnosis, she's helped us get services for our son in school and helped us with him getting the Gardiner Scholarship so we can be in control of his education. Dr. Forrest is kind and spends in depth time with our son at each visit. She's never (seemingly) mindful of the clock and focuses on him and his needs while we are there; she brings out his issues and addresses them with our son in a non-threatening manner, which can be difficult for someone with Aspergers/Autism. She's "teen-smart" and relatable to our now teenager, and he responds to her suggestions in a positive. Her sincere encouragement is helping him overcome his shy tendencies, and he genuinely wants to share his accomplishments with her. We are so pleased with Anderson's personal and character growth, and we are very grateful to Dr. Forrest for… helping us and our son cope as he learns to build the social skills he will need throughout his life.

I found "Dr. Forrest's" demeanor to be lacking in respectfulness especially when after having done research you question the diagnosis and the dosage of medication appropriate for an 8 year old boy. When your child goes from being an active rambunctious 8 year old to zombie you have to question if "Dr. Forrest" is looking out for the well being of your child or that of the pharmaceutical company supplying the medication. PARENTS BEWARE!.
