Dr Emily R Keit, MD

Dr. Emily Keit is a radiation oncologist at Moffitt Cancer Center who specializes in the treatment of patients with metastatic cancer across all cancer types. Her clinical interests span the spectrum of metastatic disease, including palliative radiation therapy to relieve symptoms and improve quality of life, as well as metastasis-directed radiation therapy for patients with oligometastatic or oligoprogressive disease, in which cancer has spread to or is progressing in a limited number of sites.Dr. Keit takes an individualized, multidisciplinary approach to cancer care, working closely with medical oncologists, palliative medicine specialists, and interventional pain physicians to develop a comprehensive treatment plan tailored to each patient's needs and goals. She has particular expertise in advanced radiation techniques, including daily adaptive radiotherapy, which allows treatment to be adjusted to a patient's anatomy each day, and re-irradiation for patients who have previously …received radiation therapy. Her approach emphasizes thoughtful integration of radiation with other treatment and symptom-management strategies to optimize symptom relief, quality of life, and long-term cancer control.Dr. Keit earned her medical degree from the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha and completed her residency in Radiation Oncology at the University of South Florida and Moffitt Cancer Center.Her research focuses on treatments across the spectrum of metastatic cancer.
