Dr. Emily Kossow Sandberg, MD

I’ve been seeing Dr. Sandberg for over a year now. She is an excellent primary care physician. She is knowledgeable, diligent, and organized. Equally important is her kindness, compassion, and respect for me as a patient and person. From day one, she been my partner toward better health. She is part of a comprehensive internal medicine practice that work well as a team. She consults with other specialists when needed, a daunting task on my own. Dr. Sandberg doesn’t pretend to walk on water, but is always willing and able to help me swim!

I have had three office visits with Dr. Sandberg over the past year plus. During our last visit, on April 2nd, Dr. Sandberg appeared angry and agitated. Dr. Sandberg became abusive over the telephone on 4/8 when I asked her about duplicate prescriptions which she had just submitted. She also refused to continue to write prescriptions which had written routinely several times. Dr. Sandberg then lied to me in order to obtain personal information that she knew I did not want to share. After she received the information, she abruptly dismissed me from her care. She refused to allow me to speak with her mother, Dr. Kossow, in my effort to establish continuity of care. I am a retired Counseling Psychologist, and, hence, believe that I am qualified to observe that Dr. Sandberg is angry and emotionally unstable. She has greatly upset me, and colluded with her mother, Dr. Kossow, to deprive me of primary care.
