Emily Kraus, MSN, APNP, FNP-BC

Emily Kraus is a master's prepared board certified Family Nurse Practitioner and has been in practice since 2020. She graduated from Marquette University in 2018 with a Bachelor's in Science in Chemistry. She then went to Vanderbilt University where she graduated in 2020 with a Master's in Science in Nursing Practice with a focus on Family Medicine. While she was in school Emily worked at Froedtert Hospital as a CNA for 3 years and a RN on an internal medicine unit for 2 years. Emily's previous experience was working for a private practice in the inner city of Milwaukee working with a wide variety of patients. Emily has also volunteered at the Froedtert Outreach Health Clinic (no insurance or underinsured patients) since 2014 and now works as a nurse practitioner for the clinic on Tuesday nights. Her passion is treating patients of all walks of life and focusing on preventative healthcare. She is passionate about working with all children but especially children with …Autism Spectrum Disorder. In her free time she enjoys hunting, fishing, biking, skiing, curling and cheering on the Bucks, Brewers, Packers and Marquette Basketball.As a primary care provider I take pride in treating the whole family. I enjoy being able to treat the grandparent, parent and child in one family and learning more about my patients through this kind of relationship. I am passionate about providing evidence based preventative health to all of my patients. I also strive to ensure my patients understand their conditions and the purpose behind the medications and tests being ordered. Overall, I see the role of a primary care provider as a long term relationship that includes team work between the provider and patient to ensure the best outcomes.
