Dr. Emily Midura, MD

Dr. Emily F. Midura is a dual board-certified colorectal surgeon at Colon and Rectal Surgery Associates, a division of Minnesota Oncology. She is certified by both the American Board of Colon and Rectal Surgery and the American Board of Surgery. After graduating from Georgetown University, Dr. Midura earned her medical degree from Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia. She completed her general surgery residency at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center, followed by specialized subspecialty fellowship training in colon and rectal surgery at the University of Minnesota. Dr. Midura is an active member of the American College of Surgeons, the American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons, the Association for Academic Surgery, and the Association of Women Surgeons.

Dr. Midura’s clinical practice centers on delivering state-of-the-art colorectal and pelvic health care. Her areas of clinical focus encompass laparoscopic and robotic surgery, the …comprehensive care of patients with colon and rectal cancers, advanced treatments for anorectal disease, and the surgical management of inflammatory bowel disease. In addition, Dr. Midura possesses specialized clinical expertise in evaluating and treating pelvic floor disorders. By employing sophisticated robotic and laparoscopic technologies, Dr. Midura performs delicate, tissue-sparing interventions designed to protect anatomical function, reduce surgical trauma, and facilitate an expedited recovery process.
