I have no skin in the game with this woman, I’ve never met her before in my life, and she was probably the most sincere and real person I could talk to in the medical industry! Today I went to see Dr. Morgan for my left thumb I have Osteoarthritis, bone spurs, and a partially dislocated thumb becaus of the arthritis, it was vastly different from other Ortho doctors I have seen for my arthritis, she treated me as a person and cared, that threw me off for a bit. She genuinely cared about me as a person, what the problem was and the best way to treat it, she was genuinely concerned about how I would get around after surgery as I'm in a wheelchair the procedure that will be done was explained, she answered all my questions and took note of my concerns. The wait time was less than 10 mins. I left my appointment with a surgery date, and a surgery follow up appointment, and for the first time in 8 years, I left an orthopedic surgeon appointment hopeful and not angry, disgusted or in tears. The reason for 4 stars, there was a strange smell in the waiting room.

Dr. Morgan was kind and informative and listened!! Unfortunately her assistant that day made comments about my guitar playing and weight lifting saying that I wouldn’t be able to have fun for a little while. While she meant no harm, she did not consider that my guitar playing is part of my career and weight lifting helps me manage my health issues. It was demeaning and unprofessional.
