Dr. Peterson is a very skilled physician and is highly knowledgeable at what she does. I have had several procedures done by her and her staff and have been pleased every time. She takes her time with you explaining procedures and answering any questions you may have. She gave me exactly what I asked for with my breast augmentation. Her PA, Eileen is amazing as well. Highly recommend her and her staff for all your cosmetic needs!

Dr. Emily Peterson is a hidden gem for our community. There is absolutely no need to travel outside our area. She is highly trained, well respected within the medical community. And most importantly, she is a kind, caring and professional practitioner. Last month, I had a Bi-lateral Blepharoplasty last month to treat a hereditary eye-lid droop that was interfering with my vision. The clarity of my vision now is amazing & trust me, you do Not want just any surgeon cutting your eyelids! That was my latest procedure with Dr. Peterson but not my first because I trust her completely. I've had skin cancer & other problems that she has treated me for and the experience is always better than my highest expectations. Before she came to State College to practice medicine 10 years ago, surgeon friends of ours from Allentown called to tell us that we were getting a highly talented surgeon and that they had tried very hard to keep her at Lehigh Valley Hospital Center. She & her husband were… drawn here to be closer to family. If you need a skilled plastic surgeon for you or a member of your family, Run, don't walk to her office. My experience with Dr. Peterson and her staff exceeded expectations. From the pre-op (breast augmentation) visit where I was guided in choice of size and type of implant, to the surgery itself and recovery, I felt that my needs and desires for the outcome took top priority. Dr. Peterson truly wants results to look natural and takes pride in this. The surgery itself was flawless and I was left wondering why I did not do it sooner. I am a medical professional as well and I realize that surgeon's skill is a big factor in how quickly an incision heals and how much swelling occurs post-operatively. I would absolutely recommend Dr. Peterson!

Does not return phone calls. I called twice and left voice messages to get results of my breast MRI. Finally got a receptionist on my third try, but she hastily brushed me aside after giving me the results which showed that my implants are not leaking. I felt like I was insignificant because I would not be needing their services for an implant replacement at this time.

My experience with Dr. Peterson was horrible! She messed up my lips by giving me incorrect post surgery instructions. Not only did they advise that I purchase a compression suite that was ill fitting, but they took out the foam padding the nurses gave me at the immediately following the surgery. I informed the staff of the BIG indentation left on me which turned into a HUGE malformation, and she just said "it should go away. Never once did they offer to fix the blunder that they created. After the plastic surgery I actually look WAY fatter than before I got it. I am beyond mortified with the results, and her level of concern was close to none. I am writing this review a little over a year after the surgery because I was also told to wait a year and my body would return to normal. Well it has been over a year and guess what? No improvement. If you want work to be done correctly, do not come here. If want surgeons that care about the work they do and care about the name attached to… that work, do not come here. I could write a novel about what else is wrong with this place, but bottom line is they did short work and was satisfied with it in the end.

Dr. Peterson and her staff were all amazing. They have a great bedside manner and you could tell they truly cared about helping the patient. They checked on me several times while I was in recovery and during my stay at the hospital and quickly tended to any concerns or issues.Skill-wise I wouldn't say she's a bad surgeon by any means, but I wasn't thrilled with her work. I had a chest reduction--Dr. Peterson left me with a cup and a half difference (a bigger discrepancy than I had prior to surgery) and still pretty well endowed. Now any further surgeries would be considered cosmetic and paid out of my pocket. One thing I wish I would have done (and highly recommend future patients do) is ask how much experience she's had with patients in your situation undergoing the procedure you wish to have done, as well as the best/worst case scenarios. Really make sure you are comfortable with what you hear.
