Dr. Emily Porier spent her early years traveling as an “army brat”, before finally settling down in Killeen, Texas. Following high school in Killeen, Dr. Porier performed her undergraduate studies at the University of Texas at Austin. With a special emphasis in neuro-ophthalmic disorders, Dr. Porier received her doctorate of optometry in 1994, magna cum laude, from the University of Houston College of Optometry. Upon the award of her doctorate, Dr. Porier joined Memorial Eye Center, where she has consistently set the standard in providing comprehensive eyecare for more than 18 years. Dr. porier has a wide range of experience and excels at providing full scope family eyecare, with a special interest in pediatric vision and the unique challenges presented with maintaining healthy eyes in children.
