Emily Reed, APRN, CNP

Emily Reed is a family nurse practitioner with Essentia Health. She provides primary care for people of all ages, with a focus on preventive care, routine health needs, and chronic disease management. Emily enjoys caring for individuals and families through all stages of life and building long-term relationships with her patients. Her care approach starts with listening. Emily works to help patients feel comfortable, heard, and involved in their care. She partners with each patient to understand their health needs and goals, then uses shared decision-making to create a care plan that fits their life. Before becoming a family nurse practitioner, Emily worked as a registered nurse for 14 years, including in intensive care. She has been part of Essentia Health since 2021. Emily earned her undergraduate degree from South Dakota State University and her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of North Dakota. She is board certified as a family nurse practitioner through the …American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. Outside of work, Emily enjoys running, fishing, mountain biking, camping, reading, and cross-country skiing.
