Dr. Emily Joan Stone, MD

Dr. Stone is the first Doctor I have ever had a good, healthy relationship with. She is well educated on the transgender community and checks in with me every year to make sure my correct name and pronouns are still being used. She respects my boundaries and makes an effort to make each visit as easy for me as possible. She explains to me what she is going to do before and while she is doing it. All the while making the appointment as fast as possible so I can get the heck out of there.

It doesn't listen to you .. her moto you listen I talk , the exit is that away. It Should not be a doctor to anything , cold hearted creature.It is Rude and has no conscience.

Dr Stone is the worst Dr. ever, patients beware. My son is forever handicapped due to her negligence. Brain damage because she was unable to arrive the first four times she was paged by the nurses during the delivery. Then she came running in and said he would be fine, a year later we realized he had suffered a stroke most likely during delivery. In Virginia it is impossible to sue gynecogists. She is a monster!

Always helpful, gives what you need (not what you want)...very level and up front...we need more doctors like her.

I have been a patient of VPFW for almost ten years and have finally decided to move on, should of left the practice a long time ago. Dr. Stone is okay, my biggest complaint is the fact she "seems" always in a rush. I started seeing her because my other doctor was on maternity leave, the other doctor I saw was not any better. Working in healthcare myself, I know the difference between a good healthcare facility and one that is focused more on making money. I believe VPFW is more concerned with making money than the concerns of the patient. This is a large practice and I believe it has gone to their heads. There are too many other practices out there with much better service. VPFW needs to work on spending more time with their patient's and learn how to "listen" to their patients, versus being in a rush, being sarcastic or downright rude to the patient. If they treat patient's the way they do, imagine what it must be like to work there.

Worst. MD. Ever. She made me feel like I was trash. Her bedside manner is horrible and she is apparently a very sad individual to treat others the in which she does.

I saw her for a prenatal appt. I had a threatened miscarriage. Her bedside manner was terrible. She was gruff and abrupt during out interview and I realize in < 5 minutes this would not be a good provider for me.

Dr. Stone is very direct and to the point; she gives you an honest professional opinion and doesn't sugar coat anything, which I appreciate as an expectant mother. She truly reads and knows your chart and history, and that can make your visit seem more "swift"; however, she never hesitates to answer any questions you may have.

She was rude blunt no bedside manner horrible at communication changed doctors after baby was born due to horrible birthing with her and having to have surgery bc of bleeding since then I have heard nothing but horrible things bout her would never recommend to any1!

Dr. Stone is by far the worst doctor I have EVER encountered. She was very nice until I got pregnant with my first child. She called my son's father a "sperm donor" (while he was sitting there), had an attitude with me because I did not want to get a flu shot and said, "Ok,if you want you and your child to die then that is on you". She always talked to me while standing next to the door with her hand on the door knob - ready to go to the next patient! She is rude, unprofessional, and did a HORRIBLE job on my son's circumcision. Changing doctor's immediately!
