Dr. Emily Thai

I had an eye exam with Dr. Emily Thai in May 2025. Even after moving from Pasadena to Claremont, I went out of my way to continue being a patient at this office. Unfortunately, the experience since then has been extremely disappointing. When I arrived for my appointment, I was only then informed that they did not take my insurance—something that should have been communicated in advance. I was told to go somewhere else for contacts, resulting in lost time and an unnecessary trip. I emailed afterward requesting a refund of $164 for the inconvenience, but I never received a reply. Months later, the office decided to then unexpectedly bill me again in November for what appears to have been their own administrative oversight. I reached out to Dr Emily Thais office for clarification, but once more received no response at all. The ongoing silence and lack of accountability have caused avoidable stress and frustration. Patients rely on their providers not only for quality care but also for… responsible handling of insurance and communication—and in my experience, that standard was not met at Dr. Thai’s office.
