Dr Valenta is very attentive to my concerns and helpful as well as patient .

I've been going to Penrose St Francis Primary Care for many years. I arrive slightly early, as requested, and I'm often in the doctor's office before my appointment time. The reception desk staff is efficient and friendly. I have never felt rushed by the doctor or the PA (I usually see Dr. Valenta, and her PA is Bo - they are awesome!). Even if I have several questions, Dr. Valenta takes the time to go through my list and discuss treatment options. There are times that Dr. Valenta hasn't been available for a same-day or next-day appointment for an illness, but they offered a different doctor or their same-site urgent care. I chose urgent care and that worked out well for me. I'm very happy with this practice!

The patient knows their body better than anyone. Do not invest your time explaining what you need from this provider. She uses the time in your appointment to do what she needs to do not what you need. When she is done, your appt. Is done.

I needed to have my tramadol refilled for my spinal stenosis and my clonazepam for my anxiety. She refused to refill them till I came back in to see her, even though I had just been to see her about 3 weeks prior. She didn't care that I was going through major anxiety and panic attacks, or severe pain, she just wants the patients money. She has no empathy, berates a person for being on time, because on time is late, makes you feel like dirt. Lousy person, filled with greed. It's just a business for her.

doctor , Emily Valenta is the best doctor ever , she makes you feel so at ease. she treats you ,more like family then just a patient, i just love her.
