Didn’t bother to review or accept medical history of over 30 years. If had she would have known eye illnesses not primary, secondary affected during flair-ups by other multi auto-immune illnesses. She would have shown compassion and helped with the symptoms. No such thing crossed her mind. In other words a know it all who doesn’t converse, listen, review medical history or accept the Patients information. Avoid this doctor and save yourself time and money.

Dr. Waisbren, for all her stunning tv “miracle” interventions, does not hesitate to show her impatience with ailments she doesn’t like to treat, such as dry eye. Her out of date methods, such as applying baby shampoo to cleanse eyelids, simply did not work. I was in terrible pain from dry eye, following a lasik procedure (not done by her). Instead of analyzing what she might be doing wrong, or at least trying to help alleviate my near crippling pain, she let me know in no uncertain terms that she had no interest in treating such a complex and essentially mundane ailment. Without any clear plan, she huffily and with irritation inserted a Prokera membrane transplant. When I came back to have it removed, she literally yanked it out of my eye. Stay away from this cold, cruel and insensitive doctor, unless of course you have a more “sexy” eye problem that will land her a segment on prime time news.
