She looked at me like I was insane when I told her my symptoms,then proceeded to tell me I was bipolar which is not her specialty of the medical field,that I simply had vertigo and vestibular migraines. Didn’t take seriously my symptoms and Kept putting me Off For mmomths at a time all the while my condition worsened.Fed up with her lack of treatment or interest in realily fighting out what neurological disorder I really have,I sought out a different neurologist. One visit with him and bloodwork,found out I have Spinocerebellar Ataxia. Pretty serious and rare. Wasted 2years of my life with an arogamt doctor who just thought I was bipolar crazy. Guess my symptoms were too complex for Emily but either the insurance money or her ego got in the way of sending me to a more knowledgeable neurologist. Wouldn’t recommend you for a rat let alone another human being!!

Moreover, she is just as personable as she is knowledgeable, in her field of expertise and beyond. Oftentimes those traits do not go hand in hand but in Dr. Westbury’s case they most certainly do. She provides unbiased advice allowing her patient to participate actively in all decisions related to their health and health care, and assesses each situation carefully. She has demonstrated her empathy, kindness and compassion in many ways ie. by reaching out with a personal phone call with an interpretation of test results or sending a message of concern via the office staff. In my book, and I’m certain in many other patients opinions, Dr. Westbury sets and maintains a consistent high standard of care for all of her patients.

Great person, great doctor. Very easy to talk to. Competent and professional. Explained my EMG results to me in an easy to understand way.
