Dr. Emir Rafael Campanini, MD

Disrespectful to caring parents, does not catch or correctly diagnose common illnesses like strep or ear nose and throat afflictions, does not read chart before seeing patient, does not routinely look at patient before offering a diagnosis, does not recognize symptomes when viewing patient, has less knowledge and understanding than a nurse practitioner and slightly more knowledge and understanding than a nurse. Not a caring person, superiority complex prevents active listening and learning. Relies on something like web md during offive visit to facilitate diagnosis.

Dr. Campanini is great! He has been seeing my son since day one. The only problem are the ladies at the front desk! When I call, they cut me off mid sentence and hang up! I get that they get busy but friendliness and courtesy make for a great experience.

My grandson's belly button was open and oozing after his umbilical cord fell off. He was treated by Dr Campanini using silver nitrate when he was 3 weeks old. Commonly used and generally safe, silver nitrate is, however, a caustic substance and great care should be taken to protect delicate newborn skin. Cade is a very happy baby and didn't even cry when stuck with needles to draw blood, but within hours after this treatment he was crying and screaming in pain. The skin around his belly button was swollen and red. Now, after research, found chemical burns from silver nitrate has been documented by the medical community as far back as 1992. We called Dr Campanini's office but was only able to speak to his service due to it being after hours. The girl we spoke with told us he was fine and that the belly button has no nerves so he could not be feeling the silver nitrate treatment. We tried to explain we suspected the skin around the belly button was effected. She was not helpful and… only advised that he could not be feeling anything. After calling a friend who is a nurse we were told it probably was chemical burns and to take him to the ER. We found there are alternative treatment options rather than silver nitrate and that petroleum jelly should be placed around the belly button before application of silver nitrate as a safety precaution. (Which Dr Campanini did not do.) We believe Dr Campanini failed to take proper precautions to prevent chemical burns on my grandson. Our suspicions were confirmed when we received a letter from Dr Campanini stating he can no longer see Cade as a patient. My advice is defiantly DO NOT USE DR CAMPANINI.

When my daughter was born she was seeing the man who had been my pediatrician all my life. He retired when she was 18 months old. I was beyond devistated. I didn't think I would ever find another doctor that I could trust the way I had trusted Dr Herbert. We love Dr Campinini. He is so good with my daughter and makes sure that I understand everything that is going on with her. He always answers my questions and asks me lots of questions to make sure he knows what is going on with her. He was a lifesaver when I thought I would never be able to find a good doctor for my baby.

Because of this doctor and his horrible diagnosis, my daughter spent her second birthday with a rash that was beyond horrible. After two visits to the ER and over a week of screaming, crying, and loss of sleep, it finally was brought to my attention that his diagnosis of scabies was not only completely wrong, it caused my daughters skin to basically rot off. She had hand foot and mouth disease, but instead he told me she had scabies and looked at us like we were disgusting. The cream they give for scabies wrecked havoc on her already sensitive skin that was already broke out from the hand foot and mouth disease. Worst. Doctor. Ever.
