Dr. Emmalyn Ann Bady Mcdowell, MD

She can be very sympathetic and understanding and accommodating and a great listener one session and the next sessions she will be condescending, patronizing, and a "know it all." You just don't know who you're getting at each appointment. Her staff is amazing. Sweet, professional, and helpful, I just couldn't deal with the unpredictableness and her not listening to my concerns.

She refuses to work with me and refuses to write a prescription that worked for me in the past. The government scares her!

Please, please do not go to this doctor if you struggle with your mental health. You will leave in tears feeling much worse about yourself and your situation than when you arrived. She is the most unprofessional doctor I have ever visited. She told me how I felt during our session and wouldn’t let me explain how I was really feeling. She is literally the worse. Again I stress, PLEASE do not go to her.

The first visit she was very nice, spent a great deal of time with me, gave me in encouragement and hope that I could feel better. She gave me her phone number and told me to call her in I needed her. I thought she was wonderful. Second visit, she was like a different person, totally unprofessional - she didn't even bother to sit down to talk. I was trying to tell her about something I thought was important and she actually rolled her eyes at me! She made discouraging comments - "You'll never get over that!" I will never go back to her and would not recommend her to my worse enemy. She was a jerk. One last thing - her staff was very nice & professional.

This is the most awesome doctor I have ever went to. She truly cares about her patients and wants to see them well. really good manners and makes you feel so at ease. Just awesome!! thank you Dr. McDowell!!
