Dr. Emmanuel Adu Ofori, MD

I cannot speak highly enough of Dr. Ofori. He is an excellent doctor and a very kind human. I was lucky to be specifically referred to him by an ER doctor that I saw (“You will like him [Dr. Ofori], he’s nice”). Yes, a doctor being nice matters a lot to me, I don’t want my concerns to be dismissed and I need to trust the doctor. Upon our first consult, Dr. Ofori took my concerns very seriously and he listened to everything that I had to say. He did recommend a colonoscopy (even though I am “young” for one, and am not a typical at-risk category). I had the colonoscopy (the practice did a great job of scheduling it ASAP/prepping me/working with my insurance/etc.), and because of (1) the ER doctor’s initial willingness to refer me; (2) Dr. Ofori being an excellent physician, who I trusted; and (3) Dr. Ofori’s recommended coloscopy, he caught an unexpected but alarming issue that would have been disastrous if found years later. Especially in this day and age when we are experiencing… all-time highs of medical burn-out and understaffing, I am so lucky to have Dr. Ofori as my specialist. He is attentive and responsive still, and I would unequivocally recommend him to anyone (and I’m definitely approaching the age group where I am doing so).
