Dr. Emmet Hunter Dyer, MD

I went to Carolina NeuroSurgery & Spine after suffering a herniated cervical disc. I initially saw a PA, Larry Braccia, and then on a subsequent visit I met with Dr. Dyer. When time and PT didn’t resolve my issue, Dr. Dyer performed a cervical artificial disc replacement. Everyone was friendly and professional, including the people at the front desk and scheduling. I was seen in a timely manner for every single appointment. I felt that I was in good hands from beginning to end. Dr. Dyer was extremely knowledgeable about the surgical procedure, was able to explain it well and was able to answer all of my questions to my satisfaction. He is very thorough and has a caring bedside manner. The recovery from the surgery was much easier than I had expected and there were no postoperative complications. I would highly recommend Dr. Dyer and Carolina NeuroSurgery & Spine.

Dr. Dyer is a fabulous surgeon. He listens carefully and pays attention to things. He performed an outstanding surgery on my back. I am incredibly grateful for being in no pain anymore.

My Neurologist, Dr. Hunter Dyer and Dr. David Wiercisiewski have been amazing. They were able to find the source of my back and left leg pain. Dr. Dyer ordered the Myelogram/CT which gave all the info about my back that we needed to determine course of action. I’m completely satisfied with treatment plan. Dr. Wiercisiewski has done my nerve block injections which are very helpful. Dr. Dyer listens and that means everything. Update after my back surgery: Dr. Dyer tried to avoid surgery at all cost but eventually that was the only solution, based on my symptoms. Dr. Dyer did an amazing job! I would do the surgery all over again because I definitely got relief from my nerve pain. Thanks Dr. Dyer!

Dr. Dyer is the whole package. Talented neurosurgeon, consummate professional, kind and caring. I never feel rushed during my appointments. I trust him unconditionally and have the utmost respect for him.

Dr. Dyer, es empatico, que primero te escucha tus molestias e inquietudes, te dedica el tiempo sin estar mirando su relo por eso esperé como 1 hora y 15 para verlo, pero en el momento que estas con el eres su prioridad y nada más. Dr. Dyer tiene mucho conocimiento y dominio en su area. Te habla de todas las opciones que tienes de acuerdo a tu diasnostico medico y no es apresurado a llevarte a una cirugia si NO es necesaria y si no hace el tipo de cirugia que necesitas o que es la mejor de acuerdo a todo tu historical medico, el te sugiere a otro Dr. del mismo caliber de el. De acuerdo a todo mi research que hice sobre el antes de verlo que mostraba que era el mejor aqui en NC, puedo decir que si es uno de los mejores, si no el MEJOR en mi opinion. Valio la pena haberlo esperado casi 3 meses por mi visita initial apesar de todo el dolor que me encuentro.

Without a doubt the best neurosurgeon ever. He a such a professional, intelligent Doctor and I trust him 100%. He takes the time to listen to his patients. The staff is also amazing. I would recommend Dr. Hunter to anyone.
