What a relief to find a physician that cares enough to spend the time to diagnose a patient. Dr. Kovacs did a full panel blood work up ~ 17 pages, as opposed to the skim the surface blood work, cholesterol screening, etc. The treatments he has prescribed have changed my life, I am now able to not have to take antibiotics constantly, and am able to function almost 100%!!!

Dr Kovacs is a brilliant physician that will get to the root of a healthcare problem ! My son was treated at Duke Medical Center for 7 years. His diagnosis was correct but Dr. Kovacs after 1 appointment and blood test found out why he was not getting better!! Dr Kovacs found the underlying issue causing his illness! Dr. Kovacs will spend an hour or more with his patients in order to get to the root problem rather than treating just the symptoms. He has found medical issues with my husband, daughter and myself that are easy to treat now but could have progressed to serious illnesses. We have been to many major medical centers such as Duke, Baylor, Methodist in Houston and NEVER have we found such a remarkable doctor. Although Dr Kovacs is referred to as an Internist, allergist and Immunologist, he is very knowledgable in genetics, and many other specialties! What a blessing this man has been to our family! Our son is back in college (after being unable to attend 11, 12 the… grades) making all A's and feeling wonderful!

I heard he was the best and everyone was right! He spent almost 2 hours with me and is running appropriate tests to get to the "root cause" and adjust the dose of my medications as fine-tuned as he can. He was very intelligent and kind. I am lucky he was referred to me!

I cannot say enough about Dr. Kovacs. He is a very compassionate, understanding, thoughtful, caring, attentive, dedicated, honest and HIGHLY intelligent doctor! He is not "just an allergist". He used to do genetic research and seeks to find the root of one's health problems. He just doesn't prescribe a host of prescriptions. He gives you what you need to help you feel better though, until the root can be found and addressed. However, not just with pharmaceuticals. He totally believes that proper nutrition and supplements can heal a lot of things. He gets to know you not just your symptoms and illnesses. He sees his patients as people and not just another insurance payment coming through the door. He spends a great deal of time during appointments and he makes you feel like you are the most important thing he has to do that day, when in reality there are always many people he has to see that day. He doesn't sit there, nodding his head and looking at his watch while you're talking to… him. He's looking at you in the face and listening. Actually listening. And, responds with the most thoughtful and intelligent action plan. He has ordered many tests that other doctors wouldn't order for me because they said my insurance company didn't like too many tests ordered at once. My lab knows him quite well. They have said to me that he is known for being thorough. He has found things through blood tests that no other doctor has found in my 16 years of trying to find out what is wrong with me. He has helped me so much. And, my son and mother as well. I recommend him to everyone I can. Particularly when I hear someone say their doctor can't figure out what's wrong. I just can't speak highly enough of him. And, I've traveled thousands of miles to see different internationally known doctors. And, the best one is right here at home. He is a God send.

Dr. Kovacs works hard to try to find the cause of your health problems instead of simply treating the symptoms. He encourages proper nutrition as a component of good health and is a good listener. I have many long-term health issues and he is one of the best doctors I have ever seen.

Dr. K saved my life. After going through a string of doctors telling me I was going into menopause, Dr. K ordered the appropriate testing and found a rare adrenal tumor that had grown to 5 cm. in my right adrenal gland. I would have dropped dead one day, out of the blue, from sudden cardiac arrest if it had not been for this doctor. I had surgery a few weeks later to remove the tumor and start to get my life back post-pheo. I wish we could clone him or have him teach other doctors how to work with a patient. I have been a patient of his for almost two years now and even my surgeon calls him our own Dr. House without the attitude. Sweet, super intelligent and compassionate. I owe him my life, no doubt.

I have heard great things about Dr Kovacs from several friends and recently became a patient myself. He is very compassionate and takes his time with patients and strives to get to the root cause of the problem, rather than issuing a nebulous "fibromyalgia" diagnosis like many other doctors do when it's too hard to find the true diagnosis for a patient's condition.

Never mind that Dr. Kovacs is an Allergist. His background is Internal Medicine and he is by far the most thorough, intelligent, conscientious physician I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. He has helped our family identify mystery allergies but he is also the doctor I would consult about ANY health concern, especially if any member of my family were in the hospital and we felt we needed another opinion or needed answers. He spends so much time with his patients and really LISTENS and CARES.
