Dr. Enrico Oliveira Souto, MD

I’ve been a patient of Dr. Souto for over 9 years. I was seen by him in UM. I became sick and was told he no longer did practice there. I have SOD (Sphincter of Oddi Dysfunction) and had to be hospitalized 3 times. It was hard because not all GI’s understand SOD or can make ERCP procedures. On February 5th i was hospitalized for the 4th time in less than a month. I was in excruciating pain with vomiting. I went to Memorial Hospital were now Dr. Souto works. As I lay crying in bed I literally cried and asked for Dr Souto knowing that he was the only one who could do the procedure and make me feel better. Long story short he did and I am recovering well. He is the most caring, and gentle doctor I’ve ever met. He’s expertise in what he does and the knowledge he has plus bed side patient is what he’s best at. Thank you Dr. Souto I will be forever grateful. I recommend him ??. Trust my words you will NEVER regret it… ??

My first experience wasn't that good. It was obvious he was confusing me with another patient. Hopefully things will improve
