STAY AWAY! Performed a thoracic outlet rib resection surgery. On a follow-up visit my wife and I presented our concerns that my entire body was now asymmetrical... My right shoulder was dropped and I had developed a wing scapula. His response to the situation was unprofessional as he offered to write a script for a round of physical therapy. My wife and I spent the next 15 months trying multiple treatment modalities, consultations with other surgeons, pain management physicians, and even holistic options to alleviate the life-altering symptomology I was experiencing...to no avail. We finally located a surgeon through Beaumont hospital who specialized in repairing nerves after cancer surgeries... Within 10 minutes in her office she was able to diagnose accessory nerve damage caused by Dr. Criado surgical mistake. It is unfathomable that a professional could not have just pointed us in the right direction. Instead he steadfastly refused to be involved in helping us. I understand that… surgeons do their work and that there is not usually follow up... But I think it's just common decency to help patients find a solution to a problem they created. It speaks volumes to who he is as a person and as a surgeon. Additionally, he knew that my wife and I had four small children at home (triplets!) And that as a school Principal I had to take a leave of absence due to his mistake. Zero compassion and unfortunate that he couldn't use all the resources or connections he had to help us out. Stay away!

Excellent surgeon

Horrible bedside manner. Missed a very important piece of my fathers diagnosis. Will never see him again.
