Meet Dr. Enrique Tuesta
I was born in Trujillo, a northern coastal city of Peru. It was here where I learned to appreciate nature and fell in love with the ocean. I moved to the United States after graduating from high school and enrolled at Florida International University (FIU) in the colorful and vibrant city of Miami, FL. I graduated from FIU with a degree in Biology.
I continued my professional career by attending dental school at Southern Illinois University (SIU) in Alton, IL. SIU made me the dentist that I am today; it taught me to give my best and pursue excellence. My positive experience in dental school was enhanced by the many devoted teachers, hardworking staff and sincere friends. It was also during this time that I met my wonderful and loving wife Trischa.
After graduating from dental school I enrolled and completed a residency in Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) at SIU. This residency exposed me to the challenges of complex dentistry and full mouth …rehabilitations. I also got the opportunity to learn complex surgical and endodontic procedures from the different dental specialist that worked with the program.
Upon completion of the AEGD residency I completed a one year fellowship in Implant Dentistry at SIU. This second residency allowed and provided the skills to surgically place and restore implants. This program gave me the opportunity to treat simple as well as complex implant cases and solidified my restorative and surgical knowledge.
I have devoted my professional career to all aspects of general practice with special interests in implant and cosmetic dentistry. I have and will continue to keep abreast of the latest developments in dentistry by continuing education and seminars. I am also glad to be part of the different dental societies such as:
American Dental Association
California Dental Association
Monterey County Dental Society
International Congress of Oral Implantologist
