Dr. Erasmo C Sturla, MD

This place is old, rundown and not sanitary. There were blood vials just lying on a makeshift cot. The receptionist told me I would have to wait at least an hour AFTER I got there and filled out paperwork since Dr. Sturla came in late.

It was a pleasure, talking to the staffand getting me through the appointmentprocedure, she was very patient with mespoke to me in my language, put me at ease with me visiting the doctor, Dr. Sturla, was quite clear in explaining what I must do to control my diabetes,it was a great experience and I am glad I did not pay attention to the negative of all involve, we all have our good and bad days, and I know sometime we can beannal.

Dr. Sturla has been our endocrinologist for many years. His professionalism and caring is great. On the diabetes field, he is the greatest. Aside from being the great doctor that he is, he is a very humanitarium individual. Everyday our blessing goes to him for the great job he has done with our diabetic father. I strongly recommend Dr. Sturla to anyone with these two health problem.

Just making the appointment was a trial by fire. The woman who brusquely answered the phone was rude right off the bat--attitudinally claiming she couldn't hear nor understand me due to a "bad line," she hung up on me. When I immediately called back she refused to even try to work through it to quickly book the appointment, claiming the line was too bad, berating me for it as though it was somehow my fault, and hung up on me again! This happened twice more!!! After verifying my line was fine by calling several other people, I called again. Same nasty response from her, though this time when I pointed out that in the time it took her to repeatedly tell me how bad the line is she could've booked my appointment several times over, she argued some more then said to give her my number and she'd call me right back. Unsurprisingly, an hour passed and no call from her. I called back for what I'd finally decided was the last time...when I said "you never called me back," she was not only… unapologetic, she actually got angry at me and snarled "I'm working! I have patients to help here!" Then refusing to personally help me, she grabbed a filing assistant or someone who clearly doesn't book the appointments, and told her "this lady doesnt wanna wait to make an appointment and I'm too busy." The young girl came on and tried to be helpful but was constantly interrupted by my nemesis, who spitefully chimed in with a barrage of questions i've never been asked before to simply book an appointment, till I finally asked the girl if I have to pass some kind of test in order to see this doctor. She herself was nonplussed by the unusual interrogation and actually whispered a quick apology. I finally got an appointment for the following week.Epilogue: the appointment is for today, weds may 9, but given that the above episode left me with a queasy stomach and a lost hour I'll never get back, not to mention the horrific reviews I've just read about the doctor himself, I've decided to pass on the pleasure of subjecting myself to more of their torture. I strongly suggest you do the same.

Dr. Sturla has no manners whatsoever and doesn't treat his patients with the respect they well deserve. On top of that, he charges for results which is illegal and when asking questions, he has no idea how to answer them
